物語の幕開けは、謎の男・絵心 甚八による“青い監獄(ブルーロック)”プロジェクト”の宣言から始まる。
「日本のサッカーが世界一になるために必要なのは、ただ１つ、革命的なストライカーの誕生です。」
そうして、世界一のストライカーを生み出すための狂気のプロジェクト“青い監獄(ブルーロック)”プロジェクトが始動する。

The story begins with a declaration from the mysterious Jinpachi Ego, announcing the launch of the “BLUE LOCK” project.
“To make Japan the best soccer nation in the world, there’s only one thing we need: a truly revolutionary striker.”
